Award shows used to be a good way to see your favorite acts perform live but that really doesn't happen anymore does it?

I've never been one to watch award shows. They always seemed like elites patting fellow elites on the back. I did like the Nickelodeon kids choice awards Making kids happy is cool.

But I browse news site and choose what I like

My favorite awards show performance was Alice Cooper waaaaaaaay back in what, 1972? He did "Go to Hell" on the AMA's (I think) Let me check. Nope, 1976.
