Talk about a close call: this baby was almost born into poverty, but his mother killed him just before the cutoff for abortion in their state. With literally just a few days to spare, she ended his life, saving him from living a life that isn't always perfect.

Whew!

Can you imagine if this kid was forced to live his life poor? Poor means not having a lot of money, and sometimes having to go without things. It means a hard life: one of struggle and difficulty. It means sometimes you worry about making rent or buying groceries. It's really hard being poor.

It's a good thing his mom killed him to save him from all that!

Thanks, mom!

She messed up. She just chucked away a great welfare claim, the real reason why democrats harp about a woman's right to choose.

Just think, women get to decide another person's right to life on a whim of convenience. Not even the state has that kind of power to kill wantonly.

Who says that life is fair?

Liberals? Any response?
Sure

What are Republicans doing to make the birth of that child less of a strain on the family?

Remove the reasons for having an abortion and you will reduce the need for an abortion

Yes, shame their limbs weren’t ripped off a few years ago.

And BTW, fuckhead - I grew up in poverty and I’m living a comfortable life now.

I get it. White American kids would be better off dead than living in poverty but black inner city kids and 3rd world anchor babies are everyone's responsibility.

So disappointing for CRCs....so very disappointing.

Liberals: A baby might grow up in poverty so lets just kill it to save it the agony of life.

Wow. And this party actually has supporters.
Why didn’t conservatives convince that mother of all the things they would do to help her and her baby?

Looks like you failed

Not being able to afford a child is why half of those now having abortions are already in poverty.

over the last few decades, abortion has become increasingly concentrated among the poor. In 2014, 49% of abortion patients had a family income below the federal poverty level—up from 27% in 2000.7,8 An additional 26% of abortion patients in 2014 had an income that was 100–199% of the poverty threshold. In other words, 75% of abortions in 2014 were among low-income patients.

The reasons women give for having an abortion underscore their understanding of the economic impact unplanned childbearing would have on themselves and their families. Most abortion patients say that they cannot afford a child or another child, and most say that having a baby would interfere with their work, school or ability to care for their other children.9 Most women also cite concern for or responsibility to other individuals as a factor in their decision to have an abortion. These concerns make particular sense when one considers that six in 10 women who have an abortion are already a parent.7
