You know, my personal opinion is that if a candidate tells a blatant lie that most others know is a lie, they should be called on it.

Debates are for the candidates to lay down their policies and tell the American people exactly what they would do, and to show a difference between the candidates.

Follow up questions have always been fair. The trouble in 2012 was Crowley's interference was to end some bickering and move things along through which she left Romney hanging out there to dry. Very unprofessional on Crowley's part. If Hillary's people think Trump is inept to handle such a situation they're sadly mistaken.
