You are supposed to take what you are told with a grain of salt. Appeals to authority are suspect, and assertions about the unknowable are to be acknowledged as statements of faith, rather than statements of fact.

Much of what we have been getting has been weird and off the chart. Just because someone says does not make it so.

And when the someone who is talking gets money for having the opinion he has, then you hide the silver.

This is what we call trying to bolster something that doesn't exist. You're trying to make this guy to be the person who put forth the major theories on Global Warming, when in fact he wasn't.

I could just as easily post several links from credible organizations but it's not worth the time and effort to comply them since all I'll get in response is "LOL AL GORE" and "IT'S SNOWING! THAT MEANS GLOBAL WARMING DOESN'T EXIST!"

Best estimate for absolute global mean for 1951-1980 is 14.0 deg-C or 57.2 deg-F,
so add that to the temperature change if you want to use an absolute scale
(this note applies to global annual means only, J-D and D-N !)

Example -- Table Value : 40
change : 0.40 deg-C or 0.72 deg-F
abs. scale if global annual mean : 14.40 deg-C or 57.92 deg-F
