Not the middle of nowhere
New York (CNN) -- You could be forgiven for thinking no one cares -- or even should care, right now -- about climate change.

For starters, there's all that other terrifying stuff competing for attention: President Barack Obama's war with ISIS; the Ebola outbreak, which recently put Sierra Leone on national lockdown; Ukraine; Scotland; wife-beating athletes. That scary guy in Pennsylvania.

The world seems like a pretty big mess right now.

The climate? Not top of the agenda.

Polls indicate Americans care less about climate change than pretty much anything. Even among those of us who are inclined to care about the planet, there's the holy-crap-I-can't-even-deal-with-it factor. It seems too big, too daunting -- and like so much damage is already being done.

What gives?

Everybody knows about it............but nobody is caring!! With all the debate in her about the "science", seems to me that debate has been going on for decades and the public is still "meh" about it.

So????:dunno:

If "no one cares about it" then why do you continuously and obsessively start all these never-ending threads about it?

There's actually quite a lot we can all do about it.

First, we all know that the worldwide livestock industry is the single biggest cause of climate change.

Then, there recycling, reducing and reusing along with driving a high mileage car.

But, make no mistake, you could drive a hummer and have less impact than eating meat.

We already do that---- getting the entire country to give up beef will be really interesting.

Really? I read a report a while back that claimed whale farts were the cause. Of course there have been SO MANY enumerated causes that after a while you just throw up your hands, laugh and say "sure, whatever floats your boat darling" because the warmist claims are now so silly that no one with a brain even bothers to look at them anymore.

There is not really ever much political debate about any other fairy tales. Why should AGW be any different?

But without public support, its a moot point. Members of the religion somehow fail to grasp this point. They continue with the same worn out arguments.......for two decades now.......keep throwing bombs...........and nothing changes. Wouldn't one think they would be compelled to go to a Plan B by now?

.....because important issues are always determined by popularity contests.

Unfortunately, climate change will continue whether people believe in it or not.

Sock puppet s0n?

I agree.........climate scientists have become largely unpopular since the public has found out they are screwing around with the data!!
Dang..........even CNN said recently that they no longer do much climate change coverage because nobody cares about it and the channel gets switched = losing.
