Oh and notice that it's not global warming any more it's now "climate change". They couldn't convince everyone that we were warming the earth so now they call it "climate change" and can blame hurricanes, rainy seasons, dry seasons, tornadoes, snowstorms, etc... on man. I have done my part in making my home as energy efficient as I can and reducing my oil product consumption to a minimal amount. Heck my pool is solar heated. My barn is lighted with solar power. My electric fence chargers are solar powered.
I also recycle all that I can.

Our homes and work buildings use far more energy than our vehicles and most of theat electricity is produced using coal.
We need good tax credit incentives for making our homes more energy efficient.

how many times was the argument made that the reason we got into war with iraq was because companies like haliburton wanted us to. CHENEY HAD TIES TO HALIBURTON.

so it makes perfect sense that dick cheney ( a man who had divested himself of haliburton interests) sent hundreds of thousands of americans in to war to benefit haliburton, yet it's outrageous to believe al gore is pushing global warming because he's set to make BILLIONS if cap and trade is passed?

Last year, I spent 11 days in the cloud forest of the Ecuadorian Andes studying the effect of climate change on this VITAL ecosystem, and it is very, very real. It affects every aspect of every tiny ecosystem down to the water that collects in bromeliads. Let me put it this way, the rainy season was supposed to start there in early Sept. and continue through the winter. I was there from 9/11 to 9/21 and it barely rained once, and when we did get a sprinkle, the rain guages read 0. That is unheard of in that part of the world. The locals that worked the lodge (whose ancestors were the Pre-Inca that predated jesus) had never seen anything like it... and it has been a trend for a while now. The cloud forest is drying out. Also, annoying, biting horse flies showed up there for the first time ever - out of the blue, which made for a very uncomfortable time outside.

fascinating. and again, this is just small-minded me talking here, but i fail to see how any of these stories leads to man made global warming. as arrogant as man is, we'll all admit there is much we don't know about how our planet works. i guess i just need answers to the following
is man the only plausible explanation for why the earth is warming?
how have we ruled out all other explanations?
how much is the earth warming?
is this warming trend unusual?
what was the result of previous warmer periods?
why did we believe the earth was cooling thirty years ago?
are the reports that indicate the earth is actually entering a cooling period simply bs?
is the science really "settled"?
