Class warfare?

Corporate executives have been playing the card "Things are tough everyone needs to make sacrifices" while they raise executive pay and dividends. Workers are making do with less while corporate eats the profit

When speaking of the economy, JFK once said "A rising tide lifts all boats"

Conservatives have worked the system so that the rising economic tide only lifts the yachts

Better go talk to the health care insurance industry getting ready to make a dough re mi off the ACA.

So yell at Roberts.

Taxes at the lowest in 50 years and so forth and so on.

Apple joins my list of companies that will never see a dime of my money. I know that in itself is meaningless but it makes me feel a little better and maybe, just maybe, others will join me.

Here is another little article I ran across. This is no small decrease. Two and a half percent is a real hit.

10 States Where Wages Are Falling

While the usage of a known left leaning resource is used with this OP doesn't add much creditability, the premise is quite accurate. There are many facts that do back up the fact that the working middle class has seen their wages remain stagnant in Real Dollars (after inflation), this group has also seen their share of the National Income shrink to record level lows, along with their share of the National Wealth. Where as the very upper tier of Americans have seen their share of the National Income and Wealth grow. This situation has been going on for over thirty years under various administrations and both political parties. That is the reality of the situation.
This trend is not healthy. Not for just average working Americans, but also the economic security of the consumer spending driven economy. How can a country's economy that is driven by consumer spending survive when the largest portion of those who drive the economy are seeing less and less expendable income? That is the small and big picture question.

The article which you say came from a "left leaning" resource is accurate. Attack the article, not the source.

A good example of lifting only the yachts is how private retirement pensions were handled over the past twenty years. The retirement funds were funded at a surplus so they were skimmed to enhance company profits so chief executives could meet performance standards and attain huge bonuses. Executive pensions were then mixed into the overall pension. The problem was that employee pensions were primarily funded where executives huge pensions were unfunded. This caused a shortfall in pension funds which was remedied by cutting employee pensions. What remains is that the lion share of private pensions go to executives in companies.

The end game is that defined pensions are a thing of the past in private industry (unless you are a CEO) and soon will be eliminated for public employees. Social Security is doubtful to survive in its present form. Financial security in retirement for the middle class has gone from reality to a pipe dream.

What has occured is a tremendous transfer of wealth away from the middle class.

But those yachts are riding high............

Class warfare? You bet! Corporate Profits at All-Time High; Wages at All-Time Low: Can We Call it Class War Yet?
leninsmile4pv.jpg

At least we're all clear on what we want.

A) wages are lower because liberal policies have driven all the jobs away( see below)

B) if one class earns more relative to another it does not mean they took it from the other class or made war against the other class.

1) Make unions illegal ( 10 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

2) make minimum wage illegal ( 5 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

3) end business taxation; especially tax incentives to off-shore jobs ( 5 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

4) make inflation illegal ( 2 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

5) make Federal debt illegal( 2 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

6) send illegal workers home(8 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

7) Pass Balanced Budget Amendment to Constitution( 3 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

8) cut pay of government workers in half( 4 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

9) Make health insurance competition legal( 6 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

10) end needless business regulations ( 2 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

11) restrict Federal spending to 15% of GNP( 2 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

12) support unlimited free trade( 2 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

13) reduced unemployment compensation, welfare, food stamps, medicaid.( 2 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

14) privatize education, social security ( 4 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

15) end payroll taxes ( 1 million new jobs) Democrats oppose

Since Democrats always oppose wisdom and common sense the only serious option is to make them illegal as the Constitution intended.

Obamacare : the great majority of Americans oppose

the great majority of Americans oppose
1) a greater majority of liberals oppose 2) discussions here are mostly about what is right not whether a majority favors or not.

But you are not concerned with what is right.

That has been your issue from the beginning.

You are only interested in power and oppressing those with whom you disagree.

And you don't mind lying about it, either, based on what you have written on this page.

According to the OP, Apple's "poorly paid store employees here in the US" earn $12 / hour, or about $25K / year. Those are some of the highest wages on planet earth. What's wrong with $12 / hour ?
