It's the year 2010 and this type of horror is still happening. And yet they wonder why Americans won't embrace Sharia law.

Iranian Family Works to Save Mother From Stoning
Updated: 4 hours 13 minutes ago

July 6) -- The fate of an Iranian mother of two sentenced to be stoned to death at any time hung in the balance today as a last-minute campaign to save her gathered strength and her lawyer said even he did not know what the outcome will be.

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, 43, who was convicted of adultery in 2006, is "very frightened and very sad" as she sits in a prison cell in Tabriz and worries about the two children she has not seen in four years, said her lawyer. Her son and daughter started the crusade to save her.
Under Sharia law in Iran, a woman's death by stoning involves being buried up to the neck and having stones hurled at her head. The law even specifies the size of the stones: not so big that the victim dies quickly, but not so small that death takes an inordinately long time.

Sakineh received a sentence of 99 lashes after her conviction for adultery in 2006. Her lawyer said she was forced to confess to the adultery charge and has since retracted the confession. A further complication is that Sakineh speaks Turkish and does not understand Farsi.

In Washington, the State Department criticized the scheduled stoning, saying it raised serious concerns about human rights violations by the Iranian government

"We have grave concerns that the punishment does not fit the alleged crime, " Assistant Secretary of State P.J. Crowley said Thursday. "For a modern society such as Iran, we think this raises significant human rights concerns."

Calling Iran's judicial system "disproportionate" in its treatment of women, Crowley said, "From the United States' standpoint, we don't think putting women to death for adultery is an appropriate punishment."

Is this the BEST that the State Department can come up with?

Where are all the Women's rights groups?

I don't think your post shows a proper level of 'goodwill' towards Muslims.

Oh my, You don't think I hurt their feelings by my lack of support for using a woman's head as a throwing target do you?

    Nah!
Their feelings are protected because recently they've been wrapping the offender in a burlap body bag so you can't see them slowly die.
Tho', actually, I think the real reason they are wrapping them, is to keep splattered blood off the rock chuckers.

Imagine the outcome if the US becomes a Christian nation. The Inquisition did as much and worse than Sharia is doing now.

That's why they're starting to use the Arab Brotherhood strategy to get Sharia Law begrudgingly accepted in foreign nations not closely watching out for cultural war.

    1. Emigrate to the host culture. Reject all possible aspects of host culture
    2. Form small colonies of high/total saturation of the parasitic muslim culture.
    3. When trouble occurs, organize and demand the right to police yourself using Sharia law. Begin civil disobedience till your demands are accepted.
    4. Elect local politicians who are of your culture.
    5. Once precedent is set that Sharia law is an acceptable alternative, begin introducing legislation to codify Sharia law into public law.
    6. Breed like crazy, expand and repeat.

It's happening. I see it every day as I drive around the Twin Cities. There are 3 areas like this and they are growing and spreading just like this.
