It is interesting to read about what these teams dig up. It gives everyone an insight of how people lived in those days and verifies some of the stories in the Bible..

Archeological find gives insight into story of destruction
by Elisa Cipollone

It seems that Sodom and Gomorrah were not as “destroyed” as previously thought.

The ruins of the biblical city of Sodom reportedly have been discovered by U.S. archeologists in southern Jordan.

God punished the wickedness of the citizens by destroying the city with brimstone and fire, the biblical story explains. Only the righteous inhabitants were allowed to escape the destruction and were spared by God.

No evidence that it was destroyed by brimstone and fire, which is the number 1 thing that city is known for from the bible, and somehow that's verification?

Fire yes, but not brimestone

Evidence of Asteroid Impact For Sodom and Gomorrah? - Universe Today
Your article has zero evidence the asteroid had anything to do with Sodom or any city for that matter. It also describes an event in Austria. Far, far away from Jordan where the OP's excavation is happening.

Sodom and Gomorrah was most likely was destroyed by exploding oilfield brought on by an earth quake.

There was something very interesting about this on television, I love these things, it's like my obsession with the Pyramids and Ancient Egypt.

They found a lifelike affresco on one of the temple walls confirming not only the wickedness of the people, but also the animals.

So many digs in many places, and new things are constantly being found. Speaking of Egypt, I used to love going to the the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York as a lod and spending time in the Egyptian Room. If you peeked through a small cut-out in one of the exhibits, supposedly you were looking at a mummy. Now the museum calls that area The Temple of Dendur.

It appears that there are many skeptics here. No one has to believe what the Bible says about this place, but can just take it as a part of old-time history. After all, they have methods to date these old things. If anyone truly has a problem with what these
archeologists are finding, write the head of the teams and tell them to stop digging.
