The bible makes it clear, very clear that the only way to God and heaven is Christ and by following the Word of God. There is nothing in the Bible that says anything about people having the right to attend a church of their choice and or that it doesn't matter what church you attend all churches are God's. The Bible makes it clear that there is only one Church, the one that Christ purchased with his blood. This church has many names, but is still the one true church, be it called Church of Christ, Church of God, Church of the Firstborn, etc, they all refer to the one true church whose only authority for matters of worship and spiritual guidance is the Bible. In no place in the Word do you find anything about a Catholic Church[which is a cult], Methodist, national baptist, Southern Baptist, Presbyterian, Episcopalian, Holiness, Pentecostal, Lutheran, Calvinist, Mormon, Latter-Day Saints, etc and Superstar Charlie Bass challenges anyone to find any of these churches in the Bible and their doctrines.

So charlie, if a gay person leads a rightcheous life by following the bible, does he/she get into heaven?

There are none who are righteous, no, not one. All have sinned and fallen short. That's why Christ came. None of us were able to obey the law and earn our way anywhere.

So Christ came to bridge the gap. And those who have received Him have a relationship with Him, and from that love and gratitude we strive to follow Him.

We fail. Often. God always knew we would. But we still get back up and follow. And pray that He help us to be who He created us to be.

And our lives then become an adventure of learning.

Christ gave Peter the Apostle the power to both bind and forgive sins. This power has been passed on down through the unbroken succession of Popes in the Roman Catholic Church. The forgiveness of sins can thus only be achieved through the one true Church, and you heretics have given into the delusion that any sinner can forgive himself into heaven.

eagle, was there ever a time when man did not try to intervene between man and God and capitalize on it?

God knows who His true shepherds are and warned us there would be many false ones. But the direct relationship between God and man has been bridged through Jesus Christ, and nothing will change that.

Charlie I never spoke one word against following the Bible. But whether you speak in tongues or not, whether you are fully submerged in baptism or not, whether you prefer old time Gospel tunes or contemporary worship, the foundation is still Christ, and God knows His own.

I agree that if anyone changes what God said, for instance saying what God calls sin is not a sin, well I would just walk out of there fast. But I think all that truly love Him would as well, and you just named a lot of denominations that don't twist the Scriptures like that. I think most of them are sincerely seeking His face. Most people of many denominations truly do.

And when you consider that God gives different gifts to different people, and He said to write new songs, I think He was accomodating all the different variations, making sure that my son's generation doesn't have to suffer through my dad's style of music.

I think God knew it would be this way, that's why He said the foundation of Christ.

I think you will find that I have a very firm grasp of Christian theology. I do know that any creator of this universe does not punish evil, nor does he reward good. In this universe, our fate is left to a combination of our actions and chance.
