Chuck Schumer praises Gingrich Immigration Stance

Listen, I'm telling you right now, Perry does NOT have a heart. He sold it years ago as a campaign fundraiser during his second first re-election bid. The only reason Perry panders to the Hispanic vote is because he knows that in Texas if the GOP loses the Hispanic vote, they'll lose the entire state.
LOL...yeah. It would be a DAMN SHAME if a politician governed like he knew he was elected to represent ALL the people in their district, state or country.

I only want politicians that give the sweet deals to those they agree with and support them. Guess we should just keep Obummer. ;~0

Dude, that is politics in the REAL world. 37% of the population of Texas is Latino. A minority to be sure, but a minority that is more than twice the national average and nearly as high as either registered democrats or republicans nationally.

And THEY have a vote!

As to Chucky supporting Newt...so has Bubba. Clinton came out saying it shows that at least he's thinking and not just saying what it takes to get elected. Of course, DOING THAT is how Bubba got elected in the first place. LOL

I suspect there will be more liberals singing Newt's praises. If you want to influence the republican nomination process...just color the nominee as a progressive and the ignorant WILL turn on them. I would think that support by Bubba and one of the most liberal members of congress would be a good way to do that to a republican front runner if I were trying to find ways to survive as a liberal political party in politics these days. You can bet that the orders for those guys to support Newt came STRAIGHT from thee White House!

As to the jackals yelping around the fringe. You need to cool your jets and LISTEN to the man...NOT the propaganda by those who have a vested interest in attacking him!

He is NOT for blanket amnesty. He wants to provide a way that LONG TERM illegals can be put back in the system to become citizens...NOT make them citizens. They will STILL have to go through the process!

He IS for returning the responsibility for immigration and deciding which of those long term illegals get deported or put into the immigration process back to the states through the use of LOCAL revue panels.

You can bet that he WILL publish a detailed plan before long. Go to his web site and get it from the horses mouth...NOT the ass that's following him!

By the way, 11 million...really!?

That is WAY shy. It's more likely between 28 and 32 million! Just depends on how the economy is doing, but it is WELL above 20 million and it's costing tax payers over a TRILLION dollars a year!

Yep. There is no way all these illegals will be leaving the country. Hell some of them have been here for decades. They have kids and grandkids who are citizens. Ain't happening as much as I and others would like it to.

Checking his website is a good idea.

I am glad to see far right wacks finally give in on the impossibility of deporting millions on millions of illegal immigrants.

Some of you sillies have changed your mind at last, and are not so silly.

Newt won't give in the Republican bigotry.

Good for him.
The only bigotry inside a political party in this country is inside the DEMOCRAT party, which pits blacks against whites, rich against poor, average Americans against everyone...and is working it's ass off to KEEP every socioeconomic group they can, isolated on some kind of welfare just to keep power they have usurped and does NOT belong to them.

You doubt it? OFFICIALLY, 44% of ALL Americans are now on some kind of direct assistance from the Federal Government...money straight out of the tax payer's pockets. However, that is a figure brought to you by the same fuzzy math experts in the government who passed legislation to put the Social Security Trust Fund ON budget, but left the amount that was paid out of the Fund OFF budget and then CLAIMED Bill Clinton had a budget surplus.

Even using that fuzzy math, that 44% is STILL nearly 20% higher than any time since the great depression.

How does the democrat political philosophy that holds 10s of MILLIONS of minority citizens in poverty and 100s of millions hostage to handouts to maintain power equate to republicans being bigots? It DOESN'T!

And the facts withOUT the fuzzy math is that nearly EVERY American is on the government dole in some way because of progressive, democrat sponsored entitlement programs, subsidized goods and/or services and most of us are to stupid to even realize they are stealing 10 dollars, sending a dollar back and using the rest to support and grow a bureaucracy that produces NOTHING and believes it knows better what the sweat of your brow should be used for than you!

On the other hand, nearly every piece of civil rights legislation or entitlement reform that liberals point to as evidence of THEIR greatness was actually either passed by a republican Congress, signed into law by a republican president OR written...WHOLE CLOTH by republican legislators!

Hell, Lincoln was a republican...the FIRST republican!

People need to shut that crap down, cause the democrat party has been subverted by socialist and progressives and they WILL make you a slave to the state.

The FOUNDERS were conservatives that would view much of the current republican party as liberals to be tolerated as misguided and democrats as subversives to be jailed. They viewed big government and subsidized programs as the PROBLEM...NOT the solution.

You doubt that? Try this, "It is error alone which needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself." And this, "To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical." ---Thomas Jefferson!

What did tyranny result in during Jefferson's day? Oh, yeah...WAR!

Constitutional conservationism will SET YOU FREE people! ;~)

Offering a hand UP...NOT a hand out is the only way to fix this thing!

Shaddup, JDzNobrains. What a stupid comment. Typical far right wack extreme activist agenda driven toid.

Now all we need is for Newt to appear in a pro-global warming legislation ad with Pelosi...oh wait....

No one gives the first stinking damn what you liberals think.. Honestly, why do you libs always believe you're suppose to play a role in our nomination process? It's none of your biznez.. go back to worrying about Doofus Biden and Dumbo Barry screwing the economy up.

The Republican primary is none of my business? You are aware that we live in America, right? Go empty your drool cup.

There are a few good articles out there on Gingrich--this one from the American Thinker called "Why Newt?"

The New Hampshire Union Leader has endorsed Newt Gingrich on Nov. 27th. Endorsement

Another article is in U.S.News, "Why the New Newt Gingrich is Winning."

He's winning voters on both sides of the aisle and a lot of independents. I'm getting the impression people on both sides of the aisle respect his political contributions to America.

Truth is stranger than fiction sometimes. :)

Do I endorse Gingrich? Not quite yet. And if I did, it would depend on whether he recruits Rick Perry for VP and assigns him the task of getting all the unemployed Americans back to work, both newly lost jobs in the past 6 months as well as hard-core joblessness, in which people have been unemployed longer than 6 months. The total unemployed is estimated to be higher than 20%, but it is not known exactly how many are considered hard-core unemployed, when there just are no opportunities for as long as small businesses are receiving the government demand to provide everything the big boys do. The problem with that antithesis is instant going-out-of-business costs for small businesses who cannot afford the frills big businesses provide, who can also afford lawyers to handle all their legal problems. That's so out of reach of the majority of small businesses whose existence is hand-to-mouth. A few good small businesses are able to break free, but most never can do that. /opinion, not fact. Rick Perry may or may not cotton to slot #2. OTOH, if he is called, I hope he takes up the banner, because he has an affinity for leadership in the business sector and has been the go-to-guy in Texas employment recruiting. He should be getting the game ball, but y'all can't stand our Texas accents around here.

My first choice is Rick Perry. There's no question in my mind that Perry is the man of the hour. He's the man with a plan to employ Americans. I'm not sure he could accomplish that without full power of the Bully Pulpit, and one thing about 2 good strong leaders. They sometimes bitterly clash while saying the same thing.
