Chuck Norris is insane

read the context, if this is a true story, he is talking about this only if the government turns this country into a totalitarian state....

yeah, how wacko for someone to fight against that

Despite the radical left-wing take on Norris' position, I think the basic question he is asking is valid:

How much more will Americans take? When will enough be enough? And, when that time comes, will our leaders finally listen or will history need to record a second American Revolution?

I've asked the question myself in my own kitchen. So it's something that people in the country are talking about. If you don't see what's going on as a radical departure from the past, then you have no concept of or respect for what this country is. The last part is especially relevant for those of us who have representatives that agree with Obama. It will be very interesting to see how states like Virginia which trended purple for the first time in 45 years but whose people are mostly of a conservative nature. Will they reject this radical departure from our past this fall, or will they extend it.

The first Gubernatorial election is in Virginia this fall.

Here are the Nine princples that these folks claim to stand for.

The Nine Principles

1. America is good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

In principle, I can sign on to some of them.

Some of them (especially given the lack of explaination for what that REALLY means) are just so much feel-good hot air, in my opinion.

I don't doubt, however, that a lot of decent Americans will read the above, interpret those principles based on what THEY BELIEVE THEY MEAN, and join up.

Now I'd be much much more impressed has the authors of this tripe said EXACTLY what they mean instead of couching their views behind a veil of pleasant sounding (but essantially content free) words.

here's what I suspect they mean

The Nine Principles

1. America is good. (my country right or wrong my country)

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life. (Non Christians need not apply)

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday. (meaningless blather)

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government. (that's why its okay for me to beat my wife and children or fuck them for that matter)

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it. (Good for them...wonder if that ever happened in the whole history of mankind?)

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results. (No shit, sherlock)

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable. (read I want an end to all social spending except the social spending I LIKE)

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion. (NOt for me, but inf you disagree, then it will be FOR YOU)

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me. (And I got some guns to prove it, too...only I'll never actually use them because I'm basically a sunshine patriot blowhard)

After 8 years of living under the little dicktator, suddenly, they want to secede.

Get a life. What we are are hearing are disgruntled right wingers who are no longer in charge in some of these cases.

Tuff.

Facially, they seem fairly clear, which ones are you having trouble with?

Timothy McVeigh died too soon.

Why are these guys not considered terrorists?

Isn't that what you just did? Who says you're right? You didn't interpret anything; you just gave smart assed comments.

I don't know. Is there no one in the public eye that can propose anything other than some make-us-into-something-else?

The Norris 9 are basically out of fundamental conservative thinking where the past is viewed as a happier time. American socialists want us to abandon everything into some kind of utopia whose definition changes to suit the cause.

Perhaps it will take an uprising to reset us to the point where we stop trying to impose our ideological wills and viewpoints on people.

Am not holding my breath, but I am darn sure going to everything I can to make it as difficult for these kinds of people as possible.

American socialists?

they dont have any power to do anything.
