If many conservatives had had their way a couple of years ago, Chrysler, the car company, AND all those Chrysler jobs, AND the support jobs in the factory towns, AND many of the automotive supplier jobs which depended on the auto and truck manufacturer would be GONE.

Thankfully, President Obama and his team had far greater vision and a damn sight more common sense than conservatives had.

Pres. Obama is a true visionary and all Americans should be proud of him for this achievement.

All Americans should at least be pleased.

But let's not forget that Rush famously said that he wanted President Obama to fail.

And when President Obama DOES succeed in his efforts, this forum presents ample evidence that many conservatives become angry to the point of being irrational.

Personally, I'm glad that Chrysler and all those jobs didn't disappear, thereby weakening America's economic strength and our manufacturing base any more than it's already been hurt.

It's a good thing for all Americans -- even ungrateful conservatives.

Amazing what happens when you abrogate the rule of law and loot the creditors.
How about all those pension funds that got fucked in the ass by Obama and his union thugs?
This is the second time Chrysler has gotten bailed out. How many more times will it take?

Oh, NO! You are not going to ascribe William Percy Chrysler's credit to anyone! Without the ingenuity and sheer determination of William P. Chrysler there will be no Chrysler! Not even the auto industry or banks thought Percy Chrysler could do it! But William Percy Chrysler did!

Who exactly was looted?

By the way, do you think all the Chrysler creditors would have gotten their money back if the company went under?

Yea, which is why it was paid back. Was "Bush's"?

Oops.

LOL @ you for believing that Chrysler would have went out of business if they had went through bankruptcy without federal aid.

The liberal position on bailouts. "Corperate welfare is bad unless the corperation is unionised and Obama bails them out. "

I think Obama was in a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. With that said I think he made an OK decision.

If it weren't for double standards, leftists would have no standards at all.

I love it when libtards insult

I have no problems the bail outs. Hell the fucking politicians would have wasted that money on something else anyway, but I do have a problem with some of these idiots acting like Obama's bailouts weree somehow more magical than Bush's bailouts.

What is exceedingly hilarious about this entire ordeal is that Obama has turned out to be a black Bush and the very people who hated Bush are all over his junk

Bush sucked, Obama sucked, America got fucked.

how sad

The Chrysler/Jeep dealership in our area closed during the "Cash for Clunkers" period and hasn't reopened since. Why in the world anyone, except an old geezer (wait!!! I am one!!!), would want a Chrysler, is beyond me. This old geezer doesn't.

Obama shouldn't have bailed them out - he should have pushed them over the cliff. And taken that Saturn and Buick with them!!

The secured creditors would have. That's what 'secured" means.
Amazing how much your cash flow improves when you tell your creditors to eat shit.

Don't you know by now, Mustang, that it was only acceptable to bail out Wall Street fatcats and not major manufacturers who use [gasp!] union labor?
