Hmmm...well Constantine was the one trying to unite the Roman Empire by asserting the Christian faith on everyone. Seems like a holy place would fit the bill. Not saying it isn't authentic but; it's rather convenient for his crusade to have his mother identify it as "the original tomb of Christ".
