Christmas memories...

Maybe, back in the 50's and 60's, the hospitals gave out a book of threats when you got the birth certificates.

Here is my 67' nam Turkey dinner.

For Christmas we did a drive and had toys shipped to us from the states. We took these to the children in an orphanage near Saigon. Someone stole a pine tree from the Bear Cat PX and we decorated it with M-16 rounds hung by fishing line. I had been wounded twice by November, so was reassigned to base camp. Working with SServices, I got to help build the stage for the Bob Hope Christmas show. I had went AWOL down to Vung Tau for some R&R, by chopper, so when I returned they made me the majors jeep driver. In that capacity I got to pick Bob Hope up from the Ton Son Nhut airbase and bring him back to Bearcat. He gave me an unsigned picture. I mailed it to him about 10 years ago, and he signed it for me.

Lets see, stuck tinsel in the light socket and burned my fingers.

Made a girl snowman with tits.

Got a metal train and transformer.

USed to play Santa Claus every year and had my own suit.
