Christians - 'not for kid reading/veiwing maybe' topic...

Boy that's a loaded question.
Where do you want to start? Sinful?.....I see no evidence anywhere that's it's listed as a sin.

Didn't someone mention something about wasted seed in another thread somewhere?

Personally I don't care - whatever gets you through the night/day.

Does anyone know anything about Hindu Philosophy?

in the bible, that verse was used to show a guy's disobediance. He was supposed to 'lay' with a chick to knock her up...instead he 'pulled out'...something like that.

That's the one I'm talking about, and that's how I understood it too. If I remember correctly, it's used by catholics to discourage masturbation.

As I understand it, masturbation in and of itself is not a sin. However, about 99.999999% of masturbation involves some kind of lust, pornography, fantasizing, etc., which is a sin. Therefore, if one is masturbating while doing one of these things, he would be sinning. And if someone is masturbating without doing one of those things, he is obviously a Zen master! :D

Thinking about one's wife? is that okay? What about as relief for "blue balls"? :)

If you have a wife, can't she "help you out" w/ that? ;)

Good question... never really though about that. Whenever I get the urge for the wife, I let her know about it... ;)

Not MY wife...she's a 'good girl'... :)

Jeff - do you think it's possible to lust after one's wife? Lust as in sinful-lust?

If you're married, you get to lust, think, do etc. whatever you want! Want to imagine your wife in a bikini waxing your car with her breasts? Go for it!

If we could only be lucky enough that everyone only committed "thought sins" how much better a place the world would be !

That's what I've always said. There are MANY ways in which a couple can enjoy each other. But too, they both have to be willing participants. We were discussing something like this not long ago, I believe, in Chat.

Sex with a partner is a giving & getting proposition, which is why it was designed the way it was. Masturbation is a totally selfish act. Tho' I do think there is a place for it. Indulged solely will have serious repercussions.

In my book willing = unconscious...I usually can just sorta swoop in, like a ninja, and be out before she notices.

:-D
