Christianity May Be Eradicated in Iraq and Afghanistan, Says Chair of U.S. Religious Freedom Commission | CNSnews.com

“Half or more of the pre-2003 Iraqi Christian community is believed to have left the country, with Christian leaders warning that the consequence of this flight may be the end of Christianity in Iraq,” USCIRF said in its annual report. “In 2003, there were thought to be 800,000 to 1.4 million Chaldean Catholics, Assyrian Orthodox, Assyrian Church of the East members, Syriac Orthodox, Armenians (Catholic and Orthodox), Protestants, and Evangelicals in Iraq. Today, community leaders estimate the number of Christians to be around 500,000.”

The long term impact of the War in Iraq gets worse with each passing year. Amazing to think minorities were safer under a monster like Saddam than the puppet gov't we propped up.

Christianity has been finished in Afghanistan for years, it will take some time but there will be pretty much no Christians left in Iraq either, same with Egypt and Pakistan.

Well it's leave a country no longer safe to live in since 2003 or die.

The most confusing aspect of all this is it seems like the only people who still speak fondly of the war in Iraq are the fundamental type of christian, and these are the exact people that our warmongering has wiped out of the country.

The Sunnis and Christians seem to be the ones really losing out in the new Iraq, the Shites hate the US but they are glad we toppled Saddam, the Kurds are also glad we removed Saddam, they now have the most power they have had in recent memory and they are the most pro American people in the country.
