Christian Dominionism-The Real Threat to Our Secular Government

Where’s separation of church and state in the Constitution?

Oh wait.
It’s based upon an out of context sentence in a personal letter.
No Bubba. It is based on the establishment clause of the first Amendment and 200+ years of case law that interprets the establishment clause to mean that the government may not sanction or impose any religion on the people. It is not only about the free practice of religion, it is about the freedom from religion

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion...”

Yeah, and?

A 23 year-old Madison wrote to William Bradford:

“If the Church of England had been the established and general religion in all the northern colonies as it has been among us here, and uninterrupted tranquility had prevailed throughout the continent, it is clear to me that slavery and subjection might and would have been gradually insinuated among us. Union of religious sentiments begets a surprising confidence, and ecclesias- tical establishments tend to great ignorance and corruption; all of which facili-
tates the execution of mischievous projects.”

That was used to twist the issue into the pro Satan system we have today.

Convoluted old English codswallop. Pro Satan system? Are you fucking serious? Let me ask you this, If your oosition is that the intent of the founders was to establish a Christian Nation, then why is there no mention of Christianity in the Constitution? Why did they adapt the establishment clasuse and why is there no religious test for thoe who serve in elected office?

When did christians come over? When they were killing the british by rebelling and being traitors to them? Or when they were killing the Indians to steal the land and gold? Or when they were enslaving black people, or treating the yellow man like dogs? 100% for sure--not the Jesus in the bible they were following, yet were told they were. You might be told they were christians but they were far removed from Jesus.

Conservative xenophobes and conspiracy neurotics are wringing their hands, and lamenting the rise of Islam in our country, which they claim will bring about the implementation of Sharia law.

However, whether out of ignorance or the belief that religious freedom and the first amendment does not apply equally to all religions, they fail to focus on the real threat to secularism.

We are talking about Christian Dominionism.

While there is no reason to believe that the few Muslims in our government harbor a desire to usurp secularism, there are appointed and elected Christians in our government right now – or are aspiring to high office-who have openly expressed the belief that the bible is superior to the constitution and cavorting with those who are like minded.

It is worth remembering that Barton is not only an influential Republican activist but also runs one of the main super PACs supporting Ted Cruz.

Be afraid! Be very afraid!!!!
Well let's see, they are having gay orgies in the Senate chamber as they proudly film it, college campuses all across the country are letting students chant genocide to the Jews with impunity, Biden has unleashed the DOB and FBI to go after the Catholic church in America, the entire country is reeling from drugs and immigrants coming across the border as around 200 people a day die from overdoses, schools in which morality and God have been stripped continue to get shot up while private religious schoo.ls don't, and you want to bitch and moan that only the Left should control culture and government and the institutions therein?

You and your Left-wing secular cult has failed, or had you not noticed? Did I forget the massive debt that will eventually destroy the Republic?

Oh well.

But to think the Swamp is anything close to being Christian, or could ever be, is laughable. These people are the same people that voted for prohibition while they had bootleggers selling the contraband to them in Senate chambers. They then did a halfhearted attempt to enforce prohibition around the country, let it fail, and blamed evangelicals for it.

So why did they do it in the first place?

At the turn of the 20th century, SCOTUS struck down a federal income tax as unconstitutional, so they simply decided to add it, but how since they did not have the votes? They decided to join up with Evangelicals who were concerned with the ravages of alcoholism during that era. At that time, alcohol taxes were one of the primary ways to fund the Federal government, so Progressives got the bright idea to promise to vote for Prohibition with the Evangelicals if the Evangelicals would agree to vote with the Progressives to pass a Federal income tax amendment. This meant that the Federal income tax amendment had to be passed first, so that the Federal government would continue to get funded, so that is what they did. And the lying Progressives stood true to their word to pass Prohibition afterwards, with the knowledge they would just let it fail later on, which it did. And once they overturned the Prohibition amendment, they regained the taxes from alcohol to fund the Federal government along with the Federal income tax. In short, the whole scheme doubled their revenue.

And this was at a time when the culture was much more religious and Christian. To think we are somehow on the cusp of a theological takeover is so laughable, only insane idiots believe the propaganda.

Demonizing Evangelicals is akin to Hitler demonizing the minority of Jews in Nazi Germany as being the source of all their problems, but unless Evangelicals start to stand up to them, they will wind up in ovens along with Jews once again.
