I suspect as much manu, even on here I can tell you're a gentleman.

Not in my experience. Men in general are nice. Women are becoming moreso.

Yep, I was going to say the same.

Oh heck yeah, you didn't have a chance!

I bet your wife loves it too, and you're raising your children to be that way!

Is it dead? :eusa_think:

Not at all. Men hold the door for me all the time. (por exemplo)

That's what made me think of this thread!

Some young boy, maybe 19 or 20, held the door for me when I was leaving the gym. I go, "Thank you!" and he goes, "You're welcome ma'am!"

I thought to myself, "His mother raised him right!" ;)

Exactly. It may be those of us women in over 45 crowd, that have lived through both the 'treat women and children best' of our younger years AND the feminist years of our young/middle years of 'We're equal, fuck you!' years, understand the fact that respect works both ways.

yes she does.....my children are know as some of the most polite well spoken well behaved children in their circles.....

intelligence and skill will only take you so far if your personality sucks....

No! Here's a recent example:

The divorce proceedings had been long, contentious, and extremely heated.

Finally, the husband's attorney rose for one last try at a no-alimony settlement.

"Your Honor," he said, "my client sincerely believes his wife is just being ridiculous. Why, most women would love to have a husband who still believes in chivalry and on the day in question, he was only opening the door for her out of chivalry."

"Counselor," replied the judge, "I am granting the divorce and the settlement Mrs. Smith is asking in its entirely. I simply cannot believe chivalry was the motivation for your client opening that car door - while he was driving down the freeway at 65 mph."

Yes, it is dead and the Women's Lib Movement killed it so don't go trying any of your guilt trips on me.
