Good old Communists. They are admitting "we can't innovate so we just steal your stuff. Why are you so mad bro. Don't be greedy!"

China: US ‘selfish’ about intellectual property rights

President Trump’s administration has a “selfish” attitude toward intellectual property rights, a Chinese diplomat said Friday amid the White House's crackdown on IP theft.

“No one has the monopoly over the application of IPR to promote social and economic development,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying told reporters. “Innovation and IPR shall be harnessed for the progress and benefit of all mankind, instead of being reduced to a tool used by the U.S. to suppress others' development and serve its selfish interests.”

Trump’s trade officials are in the process of imposing tariffs on as much as $250 billion worth of Chinese products, part of an economic clash that Trump hopes will discourage intellectual property theft and other Chinese trade practices. The president’s aggressive use of tariffs has drawn widespread criticism on Capitol Hill, particularly lawmakers frustrated by tariffs on American allies. But some Republicans have welcomed the China tariffs as a necessary step in Washington's rivalry with the communist regime.

“For many years, China has pursued abusive trading practices with regard to intellectual property and innovation,” U.S Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer said Tuesday. “These practices are an existential threat to America’s most critical comparative advantage and the future of our economy: our intellectual property and technology.”

Hua denied those charges. “China has already become a major power in terms of independently creating intellectual property rights,” she said. “In terms of output, China boosts the largest amount of patent applications, scientific publications, and scientific workers and researchers. China is emerging as a leader in global innovation and brand-building.”

U.S. officials agree that China is becoming a leading innovator, but they maintain it has also reached its perch by taking advantage of American technology. “A couple of days ago, a former employee of Apple was arrested at an airport in California headed to China with a bunch of secrets and Intellectual Property on Apple’s Autonomous Vehicle Technology," Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., said during a Thursday hearing of the Foreign Relations Committee.

And the Chinese would know about being selfish.

Yes, China is turning into the US, arrogant fuckers who want to take over the world and tell everyone else what to do.

There is no nation in history who has had the kind of economic and military might that America has, who have used it for good. Think of how many nations America could easily take over if it chose to, but they do not, as they operate on principle an morality. Imperfect, but they strive for it.

Don't drink from this kool-aid, it's inaccurate. The U.S is amazingly a place with such great individual liberty and loyalty to a constitution even as it is so powerful.

This must not change. It has to be a primary object for Trump, his administration and his security apparatus.

/----/ A liberal friend had a great idea for a product He shipped it off to China because the production cost was 1/3 of that in the US even though I warned him the Commies don't respect Intellectual Property. Well low and behold, his product was knocked off by the Chinks and sold retail for less than he paid wholesale. Now he has five thousand pieces sitting in his garage he will have to liquidate at a loss just to get some of his money back.

Like the way they easily took over Iraq and Afghanistan.
/-----/ Iraq was taken over very easily, but mismanaged afterwards. Afghanistan has logistical issues that no one could manage.

This sounds like nonsense to me.

Yes, the US could take over other countries. But that's because things have changed.

The US has done a LOT of bad things. Iraq, Libya, Iran, the whole damn Muslim world hates the US because of what the US has done.

Then there's Latin America, all the bad shit the US has done there.

All for the US's own interests. You don't have an empire any more, those days ended after WW2.

You control and manipulate countries like vassals, and the US has done this unscrupulously. Latin America is poor in part because of what the US has done there.

I don't need you coming here and telling me the US is a force for good. It's not. It's a power body that fills vacuums and makes vacuums, and everything it's done since WW2 has been all about the US and nothing else.

The US has supported people from Pol Pot to Pinochet to Saddam Hussein.

Ever notice that the only intellectual property that our government is worried about getting stolen is the intellectual property that they, themselves, use to spy on us? lol.

Speaking of intellectual property rights, it looks like I'm gonna have to straighten this wiki page out later. Gosh darned amateurs. Amateurs everywhere.

Libertarian perspectives on intellectual property - Wikipedia

This is why I had to leave ''libertarianism.'' The libertines and anarcho-capitalist half-wits are constantly misrepresenting it. They meddle in everything then you have to go behind em and fix stuff.

At the moment, I've got wiki battles going on with the Israeli lobby, though. My goodness, they are persistent on there.
