IS it coming to this now? China is set to bid on making the airframe for the next Presidential helicopters.

Odds are political pressure will prevent this but Obama wants cheaper helicopters and this airframe is certainly cheaper. The engines will be supplied by Pratt & Whitney and guts of the aircraft of course will be supplied by us.
Do we really want a non US built aircraft ferrying the President around, no matter the cost?
