This new ChiComm fighter is being touted as "Stealthy" but remember that we retired all of our Stealth Fighters in 2008. Apparently the F-22 and F-35 are much better (for whatever reasons)

This ChiCom bird looks to me like a case of "ChiComs" have a lot of money and are experimenting" than an actual tech advantage. The Ruskies lied about all their military hardware for years and a lot of it ended up being junk. Russian engines weren't reliable either. I suspect the ChiCom stuff is the same (at this time).

What worries me is not any tech gains the ChiComs may be making. We'll eventually find out when a ChiCom pilot defects with one of these. But the thing that worries me about all this is Americas disappearing (almost non-existent) manufacturing base. China is ramping up production of everything while America shuts down factory after factory.

The ChiComs are in a better position than the old Soviet Union was because the ChiComs understand Capitalism and are using it to fund their Communism. The Ruskies never quite got a handle on that and got out spent by us. The ChiComs can and will out spend us.

I think it's time to start looking at tariffs on China plus ramping up energy exploration at home. Oil, Gas, Coal, everything. The Green Agenda will relegate us to the "back of the bus" economically.

I think Americans are starting to realize this and are begining to, the 2010 midterms being a start.

If everyone has stealth tech then it comes down to the human touch. Can't use the missiles because the tech does not work. Only thing to do is cannon fire in a old time dog fight, one on one. What? They forgot to put cannons on the new jets!!! I thought they learned that lesson in Korea! Actually the F22 carries an M61A2 Vulcan 20 mm rotary cannon but only 480 rounds, enough for a 5 second burst. Not enough for a dog fight. Wonder if the new Chinese jets have cannons.

I did notice that there appears to be two different engine types for the stealth fighter, one a Russian enigne and another Chinese version. It is being speculated that these jets are farther along in testing and deployment than thought.

While the Pentagon downplays China’s rollout this week of what appears to be a jet fighter designed using sophisticated stealth technology, military experts are warning that the aircraft – reportedly capable of besting America’s F-22 in speed and maneuverability – could pose the greatest threat yet to U.S. air superiority.

Decorated Navy fighter pilot Matthew “Whiz” Buckley, a Top Gun graduate of the Navy Fighter Weapons School who flew 44 combat missions over Iraq, says, “It’s probably leaps and bounds above where we are, and that’s terrifying.”

“As a former Navy fighter pilot, going up against something that’s stealthy, highly maneuverable and with electronic systems more capable than mine -- that’ll keep me up at night,” said Buckley, now chief strategy officer at Fox3 Options LLC.

Buckley said photos posted online of the radar-evading Chengdu J-20 jet fighter lead him to believe the aircraft has great stealth capabilities, based on what appears to be a bumpy exterior possibly housing stealth technology, and the lack of external components, such as a gas tank and missiles.

What about the X-37? What about our space based weapons. Our lasers, our ability to destroy their communications. Anyhow I just talked to some Chinese folks, they are on our side. The country will be divided if there ever is war with the USA. The biggest problem China will face is mutiny.

Why are we talking about war with China? The only way we would go to war with China is over Taiwan and if we did fight, which I doubt, it would strictly be over the straits and Tawain. If we hit mainland China with munitions, China could strike the continental US with missiles (non-nuclear of course). Therefore a war would be very difficult to fight for our military because we could not hit their home bases.

The Chinese really did play the rookie Community Organizer for a fool on this one. They announce they're ending funding for our Stealth Fighter while at the same time the Chinese unveil their own new Stealth Fighter. The Chinese meant this to be a big slap-down. And it was.
