    Jobs Council Calls For More Engineers

    Some high-tech companies would like to hire engineers in the U.S. but are exporting jobs to Asia because of a shortage of qualified Americans, Energy Secretary Steven Chu said.

    "We need engineers. We need scientists," Chu said. "This is going to be at the heart of how the United States is going to remain competitive."

    Republicans say, "Ho hum, so what, who cares?" Why such a "la dee dah" attitude? Because they don't believe in science and think education is "just a piece of paper".

    Rebuilding American infrastructure also means education.

    But then, they don't want to rebuild American infrastructure either. What exactly do they want? Caves?
