China indicated that it wouldn’t immediately retaliate against the latest U.S. tariff increase announced by President Donald Trump last week, emphasizing the need to discuss ways to deescalate the trade war between the world’s two largest economies......

Bloomberg - Are you a robot?

But Why when Trump has another $300 million in tariffs starting Sept.1 gone unansweted?

China has already sold off bonds. They have devalued their money. Their economy is slowing. They can't keep playing the tariff game. They had hoped to wait until the next election in hopes that Trump would be replaced and the new president would be an easy push over. The only problem is that their economy can't wait, it may well crash long before the next election. They are seeing what a number of others are. Trump will have another term.

Dude, the grifter's tariff announcement was in response to China's $75 Million tariff announcement.

Why don't you answer why this tariff war isn't easy to win.

The median income in China could be as low $3,000 a year, at least that was the claim made by a politically astute loan broker to CNBC Asia and he acted as if would be shot if he got even a penny from anyone but joe Blow for doing Joe Blow's credit ratings. my take away is highly illegal loans by wild cat banks are getting to be a major problem again in China.

given that China has been using N sets of books for millenia the party has no way of finding out what is really happening economically. Their Triads make claims of running organized crime in China since before there really was a China These guys make the mafia look like cub scouts. China has to get good data on China before they do anything.
