Chicken & Eggs prices (Karachi )
I want to drawn the attention of Commissioner of Karachi & Governor of Sind why not control the chicken and egg prices, as higher authority helpless or careless in this particular issue in which the end consumer pay the premium to when buy chicken or eggs during winter season.
During the winter season eggs selling at price of Rs.10 to Rs.12 which is almost the double the cost in winter if we compare prices of eggs selling during SUMMER, what secret or reason poultry traders double the profit for eggs in winter the reason behind want to double their profits, due to more consumption in winter or production cost increase in winter but higher authority play a silent observer role, never control the prices or punish the traders those who are over charging. Why not FIX a uniform rate of winter and summer season, if any traders over charges than Govt duty to impose fine on such black sheep traders immediate basis. Why not Commissioner of Karachi introduce Govt rates for selling eggs in Winter around Rs.8 is the best price.
Besides this chicken traders enjoys handsome profit the reason behind they does not declare the real prices of chicken, but often chicken traders rate mis lead the consumers while they display chicken rates Rs.180 to 210 per kg but when a customer asking chest portion of chicken than their rates will be around Rs.260 to 290 per kgs, leg portion than offer some discount but rates around Rs.230 to Rs.250 per kg and totally different for BONE LESS chicken which rate around Rs.290 to Rs.320 per kg.
See the difference of chicken rates and this regard it is the duty of Commissioner of Karachi to fix all type of chicken prices in display their Govt approved rates and those traders who do not display or caught over charging from customers must be fine so in future he remain more careful to follow the Govt approved rates.
I specially request to commissioner of Karachi & Governor of Sind to depute some of their honest and sincere staff to selected areas of Karachi like as DHA, PECHS, CLIFTON, KMCHS, Kharadar, Burns Road and Soldier Bazar to know the which rates chicken leg, chest and boneless are being sold, this exercise will helpful the Govt to fix the uniform rates.
Please do the welfare of common citizen in the shape of controlling the prices with the lion eye and do not excuse or left traders those who over charged.
