Imagine dropping your car off at the local mechanic because you need to get your engine tuned up.

A few days later you come back to pick up your car, only to find out that it has been impounded by the police.

Say what you want about this individual event, it’s just an example of the entire racket by so-called upholders of truth and justice.

Chicago brings in about $28 million per year impounding cars and running up storage fees.

Got that? $28 MILLION!

It would be the car repairman's fault for parking car in a tow zone. Happens in every city.Wow and you think it is just democrats? Talk about myopic...

In the city of Chicago - hell yes! There has not been a Republican elected as mayor since 1927. The Dems have the city locked up tight. Myopic, no since I was only discussing Chicago. I know damn well it happens elsewhere too. But, thanks for your useless 2 cent thought.

..'''''After searching Spencer and his client, the officers found drugs in the client’s pocket.'''
'''When Chicago police stopped the employee and found out he was driving on a revoked license,'''''

they are not innocent --the auto shop idiot didn't have a license/joyride!!!???
the other they had drugs

Obama's home town. That's where he learned his thuggery.

I had to donate two worthless cents to your fables of glory past.

So it was probable cause and not just because of democrats?

$28 million dollars per year in Chicago in this scam. That's an awful lot of parking "mistakes", isn't it.
Take your weak pathetic excuses and ram them up your Bart-hole!

It's a disgusting racket aimed squarely at poor people and middle-class people. It ought to be stopped ASAP. But $23mn is a small price tag compared with the billions they need for their public-union pension Ponzi schemes. That baby is going kaput whatever they think. The public-union parasites are in for a surprise. Good for the greedy little parasites. :)

Take a look at their sales taxes next. Highest in the US?

All the cars are impounded because owners fail to pay accumulated traffic fines.

If you do the crime, you have to pay the fine.
