"Reside" means you LIVE there.... you can't be in two places at the same time...Rahm's whiny argument sounds like typical leftist elitism to me...

If a cop or a teacher (both government jobs) took a job in DC and moved and lived there like Rahm did....you can bet they wouldn't be eligible to run for mayor because they did not reside for one prior year in Chicago as the law there requires.....so why should someone who took a "higher" government job be eligible....?

The only reason this mayoral race is on the national scene is because it reflects the attitudes and beliefs of the President's men and his campaign center...totally corrupt...

God help us if Carol Moseley Braun gets elected Mayor. She puts the lib in liberal. No doubt you would see a NYC style city income tax, raise in sales tax and more fees! Illegal immigrants would feel more at home in Chicago, then Legal US citizens. More money would get wasted on welfare, entitlements and other useless spending. More more and burecracy would be pushed on the failed Chicago Public schools, which would sink further. More racist programs of giving business to minority and female owned business would be enacted. More businesses would leave the city and Chicago would start looking like Detriot.

And since the deadline is today to get the ballots printed (presently without Rahmbo's name on it), what are the odds that the Illinois Supremes grant some kind of additional "relief" delaying the date scheduled for the Dejection -- er -- Election?

As long as you lived in Chicago for a year, you are eligible to run for mayor of Chicago. So that means most gang bangers and illegal immigrants stood a better chance of running than Emmanual. REJOICE! REJOICE!
