Cheerleading to become an Olympic sport

I went to your link and I knew all of them were Olympic events...but I just can't find myself getting into watching women dancing around with ribbons. The rest of the events on the list I have watched in part and most are very athletic or a need of a very high skill level to do.

But wait.....there's more!

They also dance around with hula hoops!

But..but according to the above picture....the apparent women being lifted on both ends are falling and the second and fourth man from the left is looking up at the woman's crotch...

What other reason would a guy cheer lead with women?
