Apparently, you are not aware that only congress can close Gitmo. Read up on it. Continuing education works!

Mr. Fuckhead.......WHO brought the number of detainees at GITMO down from over 700 to 40???

But, maybe GITMO should stay open.....
I mean, where should we put Trump's entourage in the upcoming months?.....................LOL

Ok peckerbreath how many of those 600+ detainees went back to fight in Iraq and Syria? How much U.S. Treasure was given to Countries to accept these TERRORISTS... Bet you are real proud of pbo and his broken promises...

That's what the Republican party has been reduced to?

It is something the Democrats should step up to. If the US is to take the lead in fighting terrorism, then the US needs to make the tough decisions, not the just the easy ones. The President made the point that these are not just criminals, they are no pow's, they are unlawful enemy combatants, and their incarceration is not covered by any international convention, so they have to be held outside the US because we have no laws that cover this situation.
Hummmm but wasn't it under the Repubs that the twin-towers animals were taught to fly!!!!!!!!!!!!! moreover too the schism created between the Shias's and Sunnies in Iraq allowed the Birth and Growth of ISIS, was under the Republican Watch...Thanks The Republican Party of the UNITED STATES(NOT) for such a LOUSY JOB
The schism between the Shia and Sunni goes back over 1200 years, but ISIS was created by Obama's withdrawal of US troops from Iraq and his downgrading of diplomatic contacts with the Iraq government to keep his 2008 promise to withdraw the troops in the eve of the 2012 election. Bush, with Petraeus had forced a truce between the Shia and Sunni but Obama reignited it by withdrawing US forces.

You mean the "tough decision" of catering to his base?

Yeah, OK.

After watching Obama waffle and flail fro eight years, his base wanted him to make the tough decisions and he is.

I'm thinking that the decisions might be a little too tough, especially decisions about people he hires for his staff. Between firings and resignations, I think that he is has lost about 30 of them in one year.

If they don't fit, better to get rid of them.
