This was the greatest example of Checks and Balances in our political system. No party can hold complete control for an extended period, not should it. The Dems need to learn to work with the House majority now and Obama needs to bring his agenda back to the center. Lessons will be learned and changes will be made.

I couldn't agree more. The Democrats need to understand that they do not represent ALL of America, as do the Republicans. Now that no one can force their agenda through without bipartisan support, we might finally get some sensible legislation passed. The worst case scenario is that we have a gridlock for two years and NOTHING gets passed. That's still better than how things have been the last two years.

Obama's agenda was never "in the center."

The best case scenario would be gridlock, i.e., nothing Obama wants to further inflict gets passed.

Yes Checks & Balances are always a good thing for our Nation. The Democrats still control the Senate & White House but the Republicans now control the House. The Senate being close again makes it even more balanced. Nov. 2nd was a great day for America.
