cheap gas nail in the coffin of KXL?

tarsands are just as cost ineffective as they were when the President brought gas prices down at the end of last year. Why you think 44's :cool-45: poll #'s are so high :mm:

Keystone isn't going to do ANYTHING that the GOP has said it will. It is Canadian oil that will be pumped to refineries in Texas and shipped out to the global market.

Why are the Republicans so hell bent on legislating in favor of a FOREIGN CORPORATION.

And............considering that the pipeline still needs to be constructed, it won't have any appreciable effect on oil prices for at least another 3 to 5 years. As far as the "thousands of jobs" that it will create, yet another lie. Yes, there will be lots of construction jobs, but they are only TEMPORARY. Actual number of permanent jobs created is going to be less than 50.

Not only that..............but a lot of that pipeline will go DIRECTLY over the Ogallala Aquifer, which supplies almost all of the drinking water and irrigation for the entire Midwest, and the oil that will be pumped through that line actually sinks in water.

Nope................I hope that Keystone NEVER gets built. It won't do much for the economy, won't do anything for gas prices, and gives a lot of profits to foreign corporations.

You're probably not aware of the rider on the new proposed law for Keystone that requires all oil pumped thru remain stateside.

Then again, you're probably not aware of all the work subcontracted to American companies, either.

And, finally, you're probably not aware that the water contamination issue as pretty much been discredited.

Seem like you're not aware of much, huh?

Apparently, you're not aware that the rider hasn't been approved.

I guess you're not aware that to build Keystone they are not using U.S. steel.

And, finally, I guess you've not paid much attention to places where tar sands oil has leaked through the pipes and sank to the bottom of the river.

Check out the Milk River oil spill in Montana sometime.

Drill and pipe? Sorry..............but even if Keystone were approved tomorrow, it would take at least 5 years to see if any kind of difference would be noticed by American consumers.

Oh...............spoiler alert.....................Keystone will have ZERO effect on gas prices here in the U.S.

Do you have any idea of what you're saying? Seriously, read my post to which you were responding.

I think it's pretty clear that the Kenyan Muslim Marxist dictator talked to some A-rabs at the mosque and ordered them to keep production up as a way to strangle the glorious people's pipeline without getting his own hands dirty. He thought it would drive gas prices up, because he's a gay atheist.

As compensation he gave them the concession to make the brown shirts (made of desert sands) that we're all gonna be wearing as soon as the FEMA camps are built with white slave labor, as soon as the brain chip implants are ready. Sony's making those. They're made out of all the melted-down guns he's taken away.

Hope Alex Jones doesn't read this forum....
Tinfoil hats here..........Get yer tinfoil hats...........You can't go through the apocalypse without your tinfoil hats...........Tinfoilhats.......

The bitumen (it's not oil) which is unusable until it is refined will stay in the United States. The products produced from refining it will be shipped to other parts of the world, which has been the plan all along.. The only part to remain in the US is the almost useless residue from refining.

For Keystone backers, though, the situation may be more dire. Next month, when Republicans take full control of Congress, there will probably be veto-proof majorities in both houses that can force the Obama administration to finally approve the pipeline project that would carry oil from Alberta’s tar sands to Gulf Coast refineries and ports. However, hosannas are not echoing through the oil industry just yet. Oil industry experts are saying low gas prices may have made the pipeline financially untenable.

Extracting the tar sands oil through hydraulic fracking is not a cheap process and, with oil selling at a five-year low, what once looked like a money-making venture now seems, at best, a break-even deal. One Texas-based energy analyst told the Los Angeles Times, “The economics of this project are becoming increasingly borderline.”

praise the sky pixie of your choice if that pipeline is abandoned. Tarsands are the worst.

wow, you letfist really hate poor people

and the ignorance that you think gas won't go back up is just stunning

The American people still support Keystone.

But Warren Buffet does not, because he owns a lot of trucking and rail interests. An Obama veto would simply be a political favor to Buffet. I'm no big fan of the oil industry, but that's exactly what's going on here.

Keystone is a gift to the Canadian and Chinese businesses.

China gets to produce the steel, and Canada gets the profits from the oil.

The American people will see nothing except risk from this pipeline, and I'm really not comfortable with taking a risk with all the fresh water that is supplied to the middle of this country via the Ogallala Aquifer.

more oil in the market will decrease the cost of oil that will lead to savings for all Americans

but it is a shame that union steel priced itself out of the market

It's the nail in the coffin for a lot of people...

RIGZONE - Wood Mac US Onshore Well Count to Fall by 26 in 2015

The U.S. onshore well count will decline by 26 percent, from more than 37,000 in 2014 to an estimated 27,000 in 2015, as the decline in oil prices prompted many operators to cut their 2015 spending plans, according to a recent estimate by Wood Mackenzie.

A shit load of jobs will be lost in the next 24 months. But no one will give a flying fuck.
