Police conference-

Chief is pissed. He said they brokered a deal in secrecy to circumvent the justice system.. Stated he stands behind what they had charged him with.

Grand jury saw the evidence and he was indicted.
Mayor Emanuel states that what Smollett did was wrong, the evidence was there, and it was a whitewash of justice. Talking about different rules for different people. And pissed judge sealed the case, so that all the compelling evidence will never be seen. Emanuel says from top to bottom this is not on the level.

Also stated the $10 grand doesn’t even begin to cover the costs, much less the injustice.

Chief- Mr. Smollett committed this hoax. Period.

Emanuel “ how dare him to continue to claim innocence and to then villify the police”. “Is there no decency in this man?”
