Federalism VS Central Government

Federalism
Federalism definition | Dictionary.com
federalism

A system of government in which power is divided between a national (federal) government and various regional governments. As defined by the United States Constitution, federalism is a fundamental aspect of American government, whereby the states are not merely regional representatives of the federal government, but are granted independent powers and responsibilities. With their own legislative branch, executive branch, and judicial branch, states are empowered to pass, enforce, and interpret laws, provided they do not violate the Constitution. This arrangement not only allows state governments to respond directly to the interests of their local populations, but also serves to check the power of the federal government. Whereas the federal government determines foreign policy, with exclusive power to make treaties, declare war, and control imports and exports, the states have exclusive power to ratify the Constitution. Most governmental responsibilities, however, are shared by state and federal governments: both levels are involved in such public policy issues as taxation, business regulation, environmental protection, and civil rights.

Central
Central Government definition | Dictionary.com
the area in a governing system concerned with areas that affect the entire nation, such as defense, international relations, taxation, and trade

Taking over private companies (banks, automobile manufacturing, health care, etc) is not the act of a federal system of government, it's the act of a central government.
Is it time to start calling our government "The Central Government" as opposed to "The Federal Government"?

Well the government has certainly been centralizing it's power for quite a while, however I am pleased to see the states are starting to resist a bit more. What with all the 10th Amendment resolutions being passed in state legislatures, and Montana essentially nullifying federal gun restrictions within their own state.

Most of what I mentioned is what the current administration is doing/expanding, but you are right, it's been happening for far longer.

What a fat lie.

Federalism is called FEDERALISM because they believe in a strong federal government and weak state governments.

However, they say the opposite to attract people to their platform.

Don't be fooled: Alexandork Hamilton was the founding father of what we now call the Republicans, who were from the Federalist Party, which believes in a central bank and strong federal government.

Don't ever be fooled into thinking Federalists believe in shared power between the fed and the states.

They hate states' rights. They are liars. Don't ever trust a federalist.

Aaron Burr was a hero.

Federalism is the division between governments, such as state and federal. True federalists would believe in states' rights. Hamilton's big government Federalist Party, however, simply used the name.

You might want to change your name to something more accurate.
