Census Creating Majority of Jobs

How so? What questions on the census are an "invasion of privacy"?

Count heads not racial information. All men are created equal. what does race have to do with it. If this data is use to buy buses or build roads for example, what does race have to do with it? Billions spent to count heads. here is a good form for the census department and really simple

How many people live at this address? fill in the blank__________.

Do we need ten questions to ask the only one needed and called for in the constitutiion?
It would take the government like ours to screw up a simple process of counting heads and then spend billions doing it. And these morons will be in charge of my healthcare. God help us all!!!!!!! just think of the stupid questions you will have to answer to get any health care services.

Of all the censuses conducted in US history, this one asked the least amount of personal information. If you look back at earlier censuses (100 years ago) they asked questions like

- Where/When you were born
- Where your parents were born and the language they spoke
- Marital status
- Value of your house or what you pay in rent
- Race
- Can you read or write
- Age you got married
- Citizenship
- Occupation

The government is creating temporary jobs. That is not a real job it's a numbers maker.

Except that it is real people who are getting a paycheck.

Agreed, but it is still temporary and a numbers generator. Looks good doesnt it when the government can say the jobless rate went down and were on the way to recovery. What happens when the census is over?

The measure of a real recovery is job creation in the private sector. All government jobs do is transfer the gains of productivity from the private to the public sector. Yes, the temporary paychecks benefit the individuals in receipt of them - but they add nothing to GDP growth.

At this point, it's quite valid to declare that Obamanomics is a failure. GDP growth is anemic. Private job growth is inadequate to keep up with population growth, let alone reduce long term unemployment. Tax receipts are far below budgeted levels (making the deficit worse than planned).

More of the same failed policies will not turn around the economy.

Yeah but didn't it look good all that proud back slapping over the jobs numbers.

It was all about spin on the numbers to make it LOOK good. To make it sound as if recovery was happening.

I am wondering if we get a new set of real numbers now that the census is over and all of temporary jobs are done.

The questions were very telling. The race thing especially. And since they are counting heads and asking race questions as fair game, why didn't they ask which of throes heads counted is legal or illegal. Now that would be a census.

They've always asked the "race" question. Back in 1790, it was worded a little different though.

"How many slaves?"

We filled out the census and sent it back on time. Over the past three weeks or so we've received no less than three 'follow up' phone calls from the census. I don't exactly what they want because I keep telling them we filled out the census and to stop calling. Anyone else getting these calls?
