The new frontline of Cornwall’s war on second homes

Its not just a Cornish issue. Any area of the UK outside the South East is under threat from colonisation.

So the second homers move in. The cost of housing increases and local people cant afford to live there.

And when they move out the schools close and the Doctors follow the people. Everything decays.

Its a good example of how the market oppresses people and why we need strong local government to fight our corner.

Mass immigration oppresses people.

So, please tell me as to how importing millions of muslim immigrants that have no intention of assimilating helped the situation?????

Here in the States, what used to drive people out of their houses was property taxes.
Old people living in neighborhoods for decades were forced to move as the Yuppies revitalized the area. Buying cheap homes in old less desirable areas and making sections up and coming neighborhoods drove up values making property taxes too expensive for the poor or elderly to afford staying.
It did help save areas from decay and extinction but at the sacrafice of our elderly.
Then crashed markets + low interest rates made whatever they had left from their sale worthless as income.
Triple Wammy on the Elderly.

They are what the migrants are fleeing from.

That has happened in London and other places like Edinburgh. When your home becomes your investment rather than somewhere to live it becomes a feeding frenzy.

Did Las Vegas have the same problem other resort areas had in zealous overbuilding through corrupt city council payoffs to give out to many permits?

Na, Lockwood wanted to get even for them killing his brother.
My nephew taught at UNLV and got so tired of LV he moved, and is now teaching at North Carolina.
He didn't view LV as a great place to raise a family.

EUROPEANS can buy a full village in Bulgaria for what they spend on those row homes in the big cities. It's why so many were buying their second homes there and water front condos.

Its pretty much the case across Eastern Europe. It used to be France and Spain but as prices rose they looked further afield.
The prices in these countries are reliant on their political stability. Membership of the EU is considered a strong selling point.

It revitalises the area by giving work to local tradesmen that would otherwise be unemployed. It increases the amount of housing stock in the long run as more people move in. They pay their council tax, water rates, electricity and fuel, and most of the homes end up as retirement homes for the owners. The owners then take an interest in local community matters and join clubs, parish councils, church groups and keep alive traditional activities..

The schools have already shut down by this time as the locals have already left after seeing their jobs go to migrants working for peanuts. The closing of rural doctors surgeries and the lure of easy money in the big cities also has an impact on local infrastructure, and the people who complain the loudest and longest about the second homes are the failures in
life that underachieved from the day they were born. They cant afford to do it themselves so the green monster appears and they write letters full of profanities and slander in their jealous rages. Then whinge about the waste of police time in tracking them down and arresting them to anyone who is left to listen.

I know many like this and they are invariably neo marxist goons that dont know they are neo marxist goons.

In the UK it has always been this case, as you put 25 years of struggling into buying your home. Now the likes of you want to buy a house at a knockdown price and pay a pittance for 10 years, then complain when the value has dropped below inflation rates. Stop the muslims using sharia bank laws buying up slum properties and renting them out at high rates to cover their outgoings and you will find there is enough affordable housing for all. Then force the left wing councils squandering the right to buy capital on jobs for the boys, and make them build social housing at low rents for the majority of the workers. Bar anyone that earns over a certain sum from taking advantage of social housing and make them rent private/buy.

And all on the proceeds of western European welfare

I think it's been colonized long ago. Ever hear people speaking Cornish? Sounds horrible, nothing like Welsh. (yes, I know it theoretically died out)

All of them, or just a hand full that are members of project fear just like you. They would soon complain if they had nothing and had to travel every day just to buy food. Could you justify losing £1000 a week running a shop/post office that catered for 20 people spending £100 a week

I cant convert your gibberish into anything that makes sense. Have you read the article ?

Here's a question:
Celtic legend has them waiting for
THE MICHAEL TO "return" to inheritance.
So JW's used to have a home for
"The Michael" back in the States, but they caved in and sold it off.
Does Edinburgh have a house waiting in similar fashion or old kingship residences? Because surely not even a King Moshiach can afford a second home there, it would require Solomon's gold to afford one there.
;-)
