The RAF100 Appeal is a joint venture between the Royal Air Force and four major RAF charities – the Royal Air Forces Association, Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust and the Royal Air Force Museum. The aim of the Appeal is to raise money for the RAF Family and to create a lasting legacy as we celebrate 100 years of the Royal Air Force in 2018. Numerous activities and events will be taking place across the UK until the end of September 2018. The Appeal forms part of the wider RAF100 initiative that seeks to commemorate the achievements of the RAF and all those who have served while at the same time celebrating the vital contribution that the RAF continues to make, and inspire both the public and the RAF family as we look forward to the next 100 years.

How can I get involved?
Volunteer: Support a century of service
We’re proud to support servicemen and women both past and present, and we need your help.
We’re seeking people to help at city collections, which coincide with the RAF’s static aircraft tour and the RAF100 parade and flypast in London along with other major cities across the country. With parades, services and airshows all celebrating the air force, volunteering with the Association will put you right at the heart of events. All money raised will go to the RAF100 Appeal.
Everyone can be a part of history.

About the charities
We are a membership organisation and registered charity that provides welfare support to the RAF family. We are dedicated to supporting serving and former RAF personnel and their families. We can trace our roots back to the formation of the first RAF squadron associations in 1918. Since then, we have been fighting to ensure that members of the RAF family receive fair treatment at all stages of their lives.

The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund supports former and serving members of the RAF and their families. The support they provide ranges from financial help to their Airplay youth support programme on RAF stations and welfare breaks for RAF veterans.

The Royal Air Force Museum occupies two public sites at Colindale in north London and Cosford in Shropshire, West Midlands. Its purpose is to tell the story of the Royal Air Force through its people and collections and its ambition is to ensure that the Royal Air Force’s story endures and enriches future generations.

The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust is the youngest of the Royal Air Force charities having formed in 2005. Its main source of income comes from its trading company, the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises, who organise the Royal International Air Tattoo each year at RAF Fairford. Its aims are to support the Royal Air Force to enhance the environment of serving personnel and their families; and a commitment to young people, to initiate and develop within them an enthusiasm for aviation and consequently generate a desire in them to join the RAF.
