    War happens when one side believes it can beat the other, or at least force them to give in to demands. When this is not the case, war does not happen.

    Prior to 1945, Eurpoe was in a virtual state of constant war;. after 1945, it has been at peace. There's a reason for this, and it doesnt lie with any sort of 'brokered peace' by the UN (et al).

    Ironic. hey Swagger. You ever hear the practice of England intentionally pitting one group against another, say in Africa, during colonial times in order to capitalize on the ensuing "situation"? Brings to mind nigeria among other countries.

    In the absence of any official imperial policy being mentioned, I can only assume you're alluding to the age-old tactic of "divide and conquer." But such tactics have been used the world over. Although as far as I'm aware, no charitable aid agencies were active distributing medical aid in the conflicts between hostile natives and the imperial forces of any European empire during the "scramble for Africa", or elsewhere in these empires' latter years.
