CBO....debt to cause economy death spiral!!!

dear, We hope they are as stupid and liberal as you and think having an inferior military is a sound strategy in a world where all countries are eventually conquered militarily.
Too slow ... as allways. Those wars have costed trillions of taxpayers dollars and have not increased the military power of the US.
Still above your head ?

dear, our subject was not "those wars" as your low IQ pretended but rather whether it makes sense for us to have a military not big enough to win 2 wars simultaneously, against major countries, in a world where all countries are eventually conquered militarily.

Do you want to bet $10,000 what our subject was? Totally confused aren't you, liberal ?

Yes , it makes sense.... perhaps that 2 simultaneous wars is some kind of military wet dream.. what would that war be ? Fighting against Russia and China simultaneously ?

A few days ago I posted a mind-numbingly boring thread about CBO and dynamic scoring. Thanks Ed, for responding, you were the only one. Anyway, something has been going on at CBO. The guy who ran the place the last 20+ years and had such a great reputation for good research and lack of partisan bias has retired and since Republicans control both houses of Congress, there have been new marching orders. So far, a lot of the reports appear to be unaffected, like the one stating that repealing the ACA will increase the deficit.

The CBO report featured in the OP is a rehash with no new information or analysis. It was requested to give Republican talking points. Yes, if the CBO forecasting model is correct for the next 25 years (lots of luck on that one) and we make no changes to revenue or spending, the deficit as a percentage of GDP will rise by 2040. Period. Is that a "death spiral"? No. CBO does not say that; the politicians and pundits add that. Maybe they are right. Probably they are wrong. The premise of no change is obviously a bad one, however. I find it amazing that the party of global warming denial which wants to wait a couple more decades to see if the projections pan out and so hot to act immediately on the deficit, which has much less evidence behind it of irreversible damage if we delay.
