Catholic bombshell?

[The Cardinals obviously stumped the Pope. His non-answer means he doesn't know and needs time to come up with something. And those Cardinals are toast. God is a vengeful sort.

There is nothing to "stump." The Church points to Christ's teaching on the matter: Whom God has joined together, let no one separate. God intended marriage to be between one man and a one woman. To divorce and remarry is to commit adultery.

Many don't take these words seriously. The Catholic Church does.
Joshua Ben Joseph was commenting on marriage as it was practiced among Jews in the first century CE. The point was that there should not be divorce but Jewish law allowed divorce. Joshua Ben Joseph is rejecting Jewish law regarding divorce. So, nowadays when same sex marriage is allowed His teaching on divorce being wrong although allowed in Jewish law, would still stand. There is no rejection of same sex marriage in this text but there is a rejection of divorce which Protestants allow today.
You totally misunderstood what "Joshua Ben Joseph" was saying. He said people who prefer to have sex with the same sex should not marry.
Why not? Shouldn't their children be raised in wedlock?

Shouldn't children also benefit from having a loving father and a loving mother who also love each other?
Don't worry, there's always a butch one in a lesbian relationship, and a more effeminate male in a gay relationship. :D
And what about single parents? They all going to hell?

Who is Joshua Ben Joseph? Jesus? Why for heavens sake do you not use "Jesus" like everyone else? "Same sex marriage" has by the way absolutelly nothing to do with "marriage" in a jewish and/or christian way. The prototype for marriage is the creation of Adam and Eve. Both together are in their different sex a unity and able to create on their own new life.

We havr moved on from this prototype. Joshua Ben Joseph was a Jew but "Jesus" is Greek for Joshua (Ιησούς).

Of course the only type of marriage in the time of Joshua Ben Joseph was between a man and a woman. There was no need to comment on same sex marriage therefore. He was considering divorce in the text quoted in which there is no mention of same sex marriage since it did not exist.

Can you show us where Jesus advocated that people create same sex sexual unions?
I have no knowledge of a text in which Jesus disapproves of same sex marriage.
Matthew 19
