Was expected to lead UCLA to 3 national titles. Started a dynasty unmatched in sports history. Then went out and did it. No such pressure on Bill Russell at USF.

Won a title with expansion Milwaukee Bucks in their 3rd season - swept the Bullets 4-0.

Won titles in the 80s with Magic Johnson and the Showtime Lakers.

Most unstopable weapon in basketball - the Sky Hook.

My favorite Alcindor story was when he was a freshman at UCLA. Freshman were not allowed to play on the varsity team so Alcindor lead the freshman team.
The UCLA varsity had won the NCAA championship the year before and played the freshman team in an opening exhibition at the brand new Pauly Pavillion. Alcindors freshman team blew out the UCLA varsity who went on to win another championship that year

    Regardless, Chamberlain was still better
