A long time ago a great three-time governor of Louisiana, Earl Long, said about Jimmie Davis, the two-time not very good governor of Louisiana, "You couldn't wake up Jimmie Davis with an earthquake."
As I go around the country and see various Democrats and talk to them on the phone, honestly I'm beginning to think that we have become the party of Jimmie Davis.
My message is simple: WTFU. Translated -- wake the you-know-what up, there is an earthquake.
James CarvilleYou think that Democrats around the country are going to win -- as I hear time and time again from people on the street.
Democratic fundraisers, activists, supporters, and even politicians alike have somehow collectively lapsed into the sentiment that the president is going to be reelected and that we have a good shot to take the House back while holding the Senate.
I ask: What are you smoking? What are you drinking? What are you snorting or just what in the hell are you thinking?
Carville: Wake up Democrats; you could lose - CNN.com
It is amazing that democrats would think they are going to win.
As much as I can't stand James....he's been a pretty good voice when it comes to tactical matters. Let's hope democrats don't listen to him.
I so look forward to the screams on the day after the election.
Let's bump this puppy.
if Obama loses Wisconsin,Michigan,Colorado,Nevada, and Iowa,,hes toast,,,,,we can only pray.
The Democrat socialist Hollywood king makers told him that in order for the billions to start flowing for Obama's reelection campaign, he had to bend down and kiss their ring, come out of the closet, and admit that he supports gay marriage. Apparently bending down and kissing people's rings doesn't bother President Hussein, he's had a lot of practice with his Saudi masters.Obama is already getting desperate.
It is obvious in his voice.
And how to republicans feel about him using their tax dollars to campaign ?
I do believe that should be labeled high crimes and misdemeanors if used to assist his campaign.Obama is already getting desperate.

He's loosing those and more. I don't see anyody but hardcore dedicated party line imbeciles voting him. Romney will usher in another decade of progress and prosperity. He is a smart, able man with the right qualifications to lead us out of this mess that Bush and Obama have created. Romney is a moderate, not a left wing or right wing ideologue, who has experience bringing two sides together and getting things done. The only thing I worry about when Romney gets in, is having to remodel the Whitehouse and adding another Wing to it to house his 54 wives. Other than that we should be fine.

Too bad this is covered by 'nobody in congress has the balls enough to press charges' thinking.I do believe that should be labeled high crimes and misdemeanors if used to assist his campaign.Obama is already getting desperate.

It should. Be Obama funnels tax money to campaign contributers who then donate back to his cause and its perfectly legal.
8 threads on gay marriage, but none on massive deficits, lack of jobs, looming double-dip, and the generalized horrible malaise of Liberalism and dependency unleashed on America by Pelosi-Reid-Obama.
In other words, just like Barry would like the national dialogue to be going.
Actually the economy is improving.
This is the worst recovery in modern history.
It's all about the economy, and we aren't stupid.
I used to believe that one man can't actually usher in a new era, until I experienced the Reagan years. Romney and Reagan are similar in many ways. Reagan like Romney was also a moderate, that came from being the governor of the very liberal state of California, yet he was able to get Hollywood and the leftist media to go along and like him. He changed the dialogue domestically and internationally, and brought about a newfound sense of pride into being American. He not only turned the economy around, but caused the demise of the Soviet Empire. One great man can indeed make a difference. Romney certainly can be another Ronald Reagan, or a Bill Clinton, two of the greatest presidents we have had.if Obama loses Wisconsin,Michigan,Colorado,Nevada, and Iowa,,hes toast,,,,,we can only pray.

I have to quibble with just one of your points. At least assuming the wife thing was tongue-in-cheek.
Romney wont usher in another decade of progress of prosperity. One man can't do that. The government cant do it. If Romney is going to be an effective President he needs to get out of the way of the people as we the people usher in a decade of prosperity. (BTW what do you mean by progress?)
I think Romney will be effective and decentralizing power from Washington. It's one of the issues he is running on as well as allowing free markets to work. If he follows through, and if the people repent and humble themselves before God. We will see unprecedented growth.
But as long as the people are full of pride, corruption, dishonesty, apathy, and hate we will have serious problems regaining prosperity no matter how much government gets out of our way.
Carville is right. If Romney can use Carville's "economy stupid" strategy, then President Obama could very easily go the way of Jimmy Carter. Now, I'm not saying that Romney is Reagan. Far from it. But the man is poised to take it. A good Veep candidate, a piss poor economy, and now a wedge issue like gay marriage. Gos willing, the GOP could make this happen.

the recession ended June of 09 - with uninterrupted positive GDP (Growth) since that time to the present.

I agree. I don't think either side should take this election for granted.
Meh, I think I'll donate to Romney... just for the craic of it.
