I love it how the right-wingers here all say that the US will end up like Greece if they don't cut spending. The problem in Greece is not the spending, it's that no one pay taxes. If the Republicans continue to cut taxes for the wealthy, then yes, The Republican Party will have turned the US into Greece, since they're the ones who have been cutting the taxes.

Of course Pelosi is right, it is one of the most important. Food stamps are a direct stimulus as well. Wouldn't it be great if the House had been working on the jobs situation all these past 4 years instead of their war on Obama but they haven't so stimulus is where we can find it.

Food Stamps are not a stimulus to the economy. Unless you are suggesting people are using Food Stamps to abuse the system, purchasing those things other than what the program was meant for on the taxpayer's dime? Had the Democrats been concentrating on actual job creation, instead of pushing for an increase on Food Stamps and wasting taxpayer dollars on government gimmicks like "Cash for Clunkers", "Cash for Appliances", tax credits to push a unproductive Chevy Volt, our economy might be in better shape.
