Capitalism Is Dead

It doesn't matter at all whether the OWS group (are they somehow all as homogenous as Republicans?) are socialist, communist, animist, maoist, fascist, or republican.

Capitalism is a primitive form of post-feudalism economy that was adapted for a corporate industial society. It won't last.

lol....i see you're one of those "smart" people.....

How in the hell did you find that film?

"Workers of the World" UNITE !!!

Hail Che Guevara !!!

What do you have against workers? They actually produce everything.

Actually, an organization offer jobs to people that are trained to perform them, and the act of working together under the dictate of the organization creates production or services.

Note: the organization does not have to be a business(a for-profit organization). But one has to ask--if the business does not produce profit, why do the workers stay loyal to the business. How does the business continue to operate?

People labored and produced long, long before any concept of "profit" became important. Profitability has not always been the main reason for cooperative labor.

guess what is really killing capitalism?

deregualtion

Wrong. I guess because there was no regulation is the reason that capitalism failed to start. If it was not for government building regulations so that the free market and capitalism could begin.

Non-profit makes profits. I know this because I work for one. If there was no profit, the business would not exist.

This is the second odd thing you've posted. Non-profits sustain themselves within the framework of an economic society based upon exchange currency, but that's only because they have no choice in the matter. Profitability is not a precondition of their existence (hence, NPO!!).

Capitalism self-destructed over a hundred years ago. Communism was a complete failure.

Regulated semi-socialist democratic capitalism has proven to be the best system.

Is that so hard to understand?

Where did you take history?

Are you very young, or what? Do you actually believe that all human history has been characterized by exchange currency and business interests? LOL

what are you trying to say....? .....that people were all-giving all-sharing communists/socialists before money and business came along....?

money or currency came on the scene about 2500 years ago......before that people swapped things.....two bags of oats for five chickens or whatever....

most people had very little....the only ones with extras were the rulers.....who took by force...

the same is true today.....it's called "socialism"......

I work for a non-profit. I have worked for a few non-profits and have colleagues that work in non-profits. They all make revenue they just spend any excess either in building new buildings, improving building, bonuses to its employees, etc… in order to spend any profits so they can maintain their non-profit status. But if they don’t make enough money to have profits to spend they will lay employees off and try and become more efficient just like any other business.

When did Capitalism self-destruct? And where is this ultra successful semi-socialist democratic capitalism country?

capitalism has not "self-destructed".....it's what makes the USA a great country....

free market capitalism within a democracy is why the rest of the world envies us....

intrusive socialism is what is killing us slowly....

Ok I will bite ..
I walked this march in San Francisco last summer and will tell you that your dead wrong.
Occupy is about being angry for The bail outs, yet we lost our homes
Basically back in the beginning it was quit close to what the Tea Party wanted less Government ....
And just like the people who try to discredit the Tea Party, there are those like this Blog who are discrediting the Occupy.

Occupy, as I recall, has always been about resentment of capitalism.
If it had EVER been about smaller government the first rallies would have been called something like "Occupy Congress" or "Occupy the Legislature" as opposed to Occupy Wall Street.
