Looks like Pelosi, Reid and the rest, were able to buy the rest of the crooks and sway them into voting yes. If you think your energy bills are high now...just wait. I hope all the higher taxes will be worth the .2% decrease in temps by 2100. The entire bill is nothing more than another power grab by the politicians. They are not looking out for the environment, they are only increasing their power and lining pockets with money. The corporations affected by this will only pass their extra cost's from this bill on the the consumer.

This is a sad day for America.

"Change you can believe in"

It'll never get through the Senate. But when 44 Dems vote against something in the House, it's defeated IF the Repugs stand firm. NINE of them voted FOR this stupid, dangerous shit. And what was the vote tally? 219-212. Disgusting.

2010, there's gonna be a reckoning... At the voting booths.

yea, right. Like there was gonna be change in 2008, and 2006, and 2004, etc, etc.

Face it, as long as the dems and reps win, WE lose.

It passes.....the house.

Its not a law, yet, dumbass.

I think MM's is that voters will remember the corrupt fucks that supported this pos bill when the 2010 elections come, were all aware it isn't law yet ........

Power and greed. Remember every time you pay youre heating bill this winter and make them pay in November and every November until they are gone, fired ,dismissed. This is still the peoples house. When the senate rejects this bill do not forget the congressmen and women who voted yes. Bring them to account. Send them back to the real world.

I knew it would pass.

Just like the stimulous, they didn't read it, don't understand it, don't need it, and it will hurt the little guy.

This is teh worst gov ever, it makes chimpola seem like the good old days.

If this goes all the way through then ..............

The way I see this crime is,............ it's just another nail in Obama's reelection coffin. And it will help fuel kicking the others out as well.

The more he screws us, the less chance he (& his cronies) has of reelection. In the mean time, myself and my family will take steps to offset this new added cost.

Hardly. Chimpola was the reason we need the legislation, this country has been woefully neglected for 8 years. Bush even encouraged rollback of environmental standards already in place.

Regurgitated Kool-Aid.

We do NOT need Cap and Trade under any circumstances.

Blaming everything on Boooooosh is so 5th grade.

Inane commentary on your part.

ps. I didn't think your comment was all that regurgitated..

If it's inane to point out your obvious rubber-stamping of everything this current administration does is perfectly okay because of eight years of Booooosh then, perhaps inane=non-partisan and you=a hack-in-the-box.

Have you even taken the slightest little look at this insane bill?

There's the roll call for the vote. Unsurprisingly my Representative voted for this nonsense.

I am proud (and relieved) to say that my man voted against it.

With all of the crap stuffed into this bag of crap, there should be plenty for the loyal opposition to quote in the upcoming campaigns.

What I love about this is that the climate has been cooling for 7 years. These jeks don't even know what's happening and they still are allowed to vote.

If they would like to effect real world cooling as opposed to climate model world cooling, maybe they should look at what has caused the cooling for the last 7 years for a hint.

Of course, we know that lower temps mean nothing to them. Higher taxes is what they want. You can bet that they will use the funds as they promise which is why the casino taxes that were to improve education, for the chil'ens, all got spent on education. If you believe that, you're a product of that public education system and a Dem.

The Repubs were bad, but this is ridiculous.

I was actually responding to someone who brought Bush into it as being a positive force compared to this legislation.

If you're going to get into the discussion, at least be honest and try to resist the spin of what was said.

That's what I did do, addressed what you said which is regurgitated nonsensical apologist mantra. Your saying I didn't or pretending I didn't doesn't make it so.

You said, "we need the legislation." And went on to say it's because of Booooosh. So you're either being an apologist for what you know as a really BAD law or, you're simply ignorant and just giving instinctive, regurgitated, knee-jerk responses defending The Obama. So, which is it?

You're okay with this bill why exactly? Let's actually stay on-topic and see if you have any brain cells working.

Name calling? What are you 12? Not sure why some on this board resort to that. Do you feel it makes your statement more powerful...it doesn't. I takes away any credibility the post may have had and proves that you have no well thought, studied response. Its the lazy debating tactic. It's also what I call keyboard courage because you can call names through the safety of the internet. It's the same cowardice as making a crank phone call. Its on the level of grade school.
When you become an adult and would like to have an intelligent debate, I will be happy to join in.
