Cap and Trade also passed the house

Do you guys rember when cap and trade passed the house in a similar close vote and yet died in the senate? I thought it was the funniest thing ever to see a rule the democrats demanded that the then majority republican pass in order to establish "fairness" is now coming back to hurt them. I suspect when republicans retake the congress in 2010 that the same rule will hurt them as well but at least it stops all federal legislation from being passed and I for one would like to see this established in the constitution to require a supermajority for everything the congress passes. This should stop the federal government dead in its tracks.
