Maybe it's in their plan to annoy habitual non-paying users enough so that they will finally have to pay a little for the enjoyment of the site.

Drag the pointer to highlight the text, then click on the effect you want. It's no longer bracketed by format commands. Pretty much a WYSWYG thang.

I'm talking about in an article I post I want to wrap quotes around something it. Does that make things clearer?

Seeing if the quotes are displayed properly is one of the main uses of the preview.

Yes, on your toolbar click on the 17th item from the left, and a box will come up, and "quote" is one of the options.
