26 years. They’ve gone 26 years without shooting and killing a single person or losing a single officer. ⁣

It can be done. ⁣

And they are policing a heavily armed area of Canada so nobody can use them not having guns as an excuse. ⁣

They have just made not killing their own people (and not getting killed) a serious priority

contrary to the image of relentless action most folks think of when they join a police force, boredom is what dominates most of their roaming through their precinct. far from being this heroic activity dedicated to arresting thieves, rioters, looters, and thugs, as many imagine when they enter the job, law enforcement is generally synonymous with inaction and ennui

any description of police work should therefore start with the depiction of long eventless days spent driving through the city, expecting calls that rarely come or end up being hoaxes and pranks.

I dont see that in the article,,

if so it must be that they are all heavily armed which also explains our high crime in big cities with big gun restrictions,,,

AN ARMED SOCIETY IS A POLITE SOCIETY,,,

1. Huff Post--HAHAHAHAHAHAH..they are MAJOR anti-white/anti-cop/anti Repiblican/anti-common sense
2. there are MAJOR differences between the US and Canada
your link:
'''''''naugurated in 1994, NAPS is responsible for policing more than 38,000 people in 34 communities, many beyond remote, across a vast, largely untamed swath of northern Ontario. Currently the service has 203 officers, about 60 per cent of them Indigenous, Morrison says. Its mandate is culturally responsive policing'''''
a. population
b.density
c. low minority population--blacks only 4%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
d. gun ownership!!!!!!!
d. US 7 times the gun homicides
e. US 43% MORE crime !!!! -DUH!!
f. Huff Post = bullshit

NO, it can't be done when you have a bunch of jackass, irrational, stupid, violent, etc criminals

You are comparing apples with fish. This is an enormous area, very sparsely populated with Canadian Indians who are about the most mellow people on the planet. That is the exact opposite of what the US police face every day.
..they have to be brain dead and/or very anti-police to not even think of that
