So, why is the temperature still going up?

Do you have training in Atmospheric Physics and how our planet cools? Obviously not as the earth is always paradoxical when crossing from warming to cooling.. The warming currently happening in the Arctic is regional and pulsed, which is what it does when heat is being transferred to the arctic upper atmosphere and release.. The Ice pack is growing as the surface is below average by 3 deg F.

As our equatorial atmosphere becomes deeper (low solar wind causes less resistance on our magnetosphere allowing it to expand) and our thinning polar atmosphere (which allows LWIR to escape much faster) sets up a condition where solar recharge of the oceans slows in the equatorial region and heat release occurs in the polar regions very quickly.

This means the ENSO will not fully recharge and we will have weak El Niño events along with strengthened La Niña events. Cooling is about to become the order of the day for about 60 years.

The oceans will cool now and the effects will be felt for long periods of time. As the maunder Minimum lasted some 200 years plus, this could have very long lasting and far reaching effects.

Between cosmic radiation ionizing the atmosphere and creating clouds and the increased depth of the atmosphere above the equator it is very possible to see a 4-6w/m^2 energy loss in the equatorial regions at the suface.

This is a significant loss of energy that recharges the ENSO and warming of our oceans. NOAA has already recorded a 2.2w/m^2 loss in three years. Our current cooling and shift into major cooling patterns of polar jet strength and polar low strength are hallmarks of this change...

I get that same excuse from a few solar physicists. They seem to think the only way the sun affects things is in total output, which seldom varies more than 1 or 2 w/m^2 over centuries. They never think about the solar wind and other factors which change how earths systems function.
