Billy, McCain and his family put President Trump under a lot of duress, and duress he did not deserve. President Trump honored Senator McCain's unfortunate deathbed wish that he not come to the funeral, yet he kindly arranged the funeral to be a send off for an American hero. The family however was so bitter toward President Trump, they used the funeral to hit on him, from what I've heard.

Politics are rough on people, and people who are grieving often engage in inappropriate behaviors because they cannot navigate between their loss and their loved one's enemy list.

Neither side is giving McCain honor for the duties he performed half a century ago. I can only pray for healing for both parties, and remind people to remember Senator John McCain, one of the bravest Naval fight pilots who ever graced his fellow servicemen by sparing their lives by putting himself and his equipment in the direct line of fire of the enemies of America.

I've never seen a political situation that has shown more need for people's prayers for the family's healing without smearing the President who arranged a fitting funeral for this hero and his adversary in debate. On that note, it's time for vespers, not only for this brawl, but for all of us to try a little bit harder to get along with other people in this nation. Nighters.

Clearly, if Obama had done it, few of us would have heard of it because the media found it impossible to find fault with anything Obama did, but getting back to McCain, he barely won the nomination and couldn't get enough funding for his campaign precisely because his support among Republicans was weak. He was a decorated war hero who signed a confession stating that “I was guilty of war crimes against the Vietnamese people” and “I intentionally bombed women and children". And as an old man he intentionally delivered a document to the FBI and to the media he knew was false for petty, personal, malicious reasons.

He clearly did not die an honorable man.

Compared with "No President has ever been treated worse than me". Which is Trump's standard line. Which is a classic Trump whine, and one we hear daily. Nixon would beg to differ. As would Lincoln and Kennedy, if they hadn't been assassinated. To which I would respond, "No President has ever lied, cheated and stolen as much as you either".
