mass shooting are happening way to often.

For those of you old enough to remember Columbine, it was a shock to the whole country. It dominated the news for weeks and people were talking about it in every corner of the country for months.

There were events and TV specials about it on the first anniversary.

Fast forward 18 years and now it is seemingly common place. There is no longer any shock when it happens, now people are like "oh, damn another one". By the end of the weekend if not before this will not even be a blip on the radar for the news.

What is it about our society that makes it such a violent society? Is it the inevitable results of too much success and too much time on our hands?

Well, the WH must be a bit "glad" that this carnage took the spotlight off of the fuck up about Rob Porter......

Criminal behavior is idolized by media and entertainment, and the higher human virtues are no longer part of school curriculum, but are laughed at as quaint and outdated.

Just for starters.

I think that is a fucked up view. Leave petty partisan bullshit out of it.

It may well be cynical......But it is what it is......yesterday, a news conference that was going to be ALL about Porter and Kelly and McGahn, was 'canceled" because of the carnage in Florida.

It's not the White House's fault that attention was taken away from the Rob Porter story. With 24 hours to fill I'm sure the media could concentrate on more than one story a day, but these vultures latch onto the story of the moment. Trump will tweet something stupid tomorrow, and the media will forget Florida exists. Some story will break on Saturday, and they'll forget Trump tweeted anything the day before.

I think we've got too many crazies with too many guns on our hands.
